Sup people. The method to loot something that's stuck in a tree/wall/whatever is as follows:
1: Figure out roughly where the item is.
2: Drop an item as close to it as you can. Any item works. Bigger the item the better it seems(body armor is good for this)
3: Log out.
4: Log back in.
5: Enjoy your loot.
