《闪克2》基于前作的基础，本作新增了“合作生存模式”的玩法。画面上比前作更加完美，采用以2D为主，3D为辅的效果，操作更灵活，游戏中玩家可以通过战斗来获取敌人的武器使用，而不像前作只能使用已解锁的武器。游戏在前作的基础上加入更多的细节调整，让玩家能回味前作的同时又体验到新鲜感。
